Miles Hoffman Obituary, Death – The passing of Miles Hoffman, who was the host and writer of A Minute with Miles, is something that South Carolina Public Radio announces with a heavy heart after learning of his passing. The informative analysis that Hoffman provided on classical music was featured in the radio program that was a nationwide production of South Carolina Public Radio that was begun in 2011.

From 1989 to 2002, the musical commentary that Hoffman provided, titled “Coming to Terms,” was a weekly favorite on the National Public Radio program Performance Today across the United States. The year 2002 marked the beginning of his tenure as the classical music analyst for Morning Edition, the flagship news program of National Public Radio.

The path that Hoffman traveled through the world of music was characterized by a great deal of accomplishments and contributions. As a founding member of the American Chamber Players and a violist, he went on frequent tours around the United States.
