Chrissy Teigen is a model and author outside of her high-profile marriage to John Legend, but some people seem to forget that. Take Texas news reporter and producer Heidi Alagha, who unfortunately learned the hard way about celebrities clapping back on social media sites.
During the 2018 Emmy Awards, Alagha wrote “Chrissy Teigen is beautiful but does she have to be included in everything just because she’s married to John Legend?” while a few people agreed with her sentiments, John Legend commented on Alagha’s tweet, writing that she needs to keep up with his wife’s career.
“A reporter who doesn’t know how to use Google. How sad,” he wrote. Teigen quote-tweeted Alagha’s comment writing “breathe Chrissy,” in order to not go off.
“@chrissyteigen, granted, is married to one of the most amazing voices in the world BUT SHE’S ALSO AMAZING ON HER OWN,” someone wrote. While many followers appeared to be on Teigen’s side, others were not pleased with the clapback.
“She didn’t @ you. The tweet wasn’t viral. She has 1000 followers. Why send your mob of TEN MILLION after her?” one user wrote. “She preys on the little guys which brings us right back to why she gets to go everywhere with John Legend,” another added.
