Andrew Garfield and Jamie Dornan recently showed their love for each other on the Oscars red carpet. This small event sparked a sense of nostalgia in the two stars' fans. Seeing one's favorite actors, who have been friends for a long, long time, still behave as they used to years ago is a great feeling.

The Entertainment Industry in 2008 saw five friends rooming up with each other, auditioning for different roles, working hard towards bagging a movie or a TV Series while having no idea that someday all of them would make it big.

Let's see how Tik Tik Boom Star Andrew Garfield and Jamie Dornan of Fifty Shades of Grey Fame have fared.

Jamie Dornan And Andrew Garfield Go Way Back

The five friends – Eddie Redmayne of the Fantastic Beasts franchise, Charlie Cox of Daredevil from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Robert Pattinson of Twilight, Andrew Garfield of The Amazing Spider-Man, and Jamie Dornan, the famous Christian Grey all housed together at the same address in Los Angeles.

Late last year, Dornan and Garfield went on the Late Late Show with James Corden, describing themselves from back in the day.

Andrew said, "We were the kind of guys that would go to The Standard Hotel on Sunset Boulevard to play ping-pong and order one cocktail between us because we couldn't afford any more while spending six or seven hours at the same place.”

Jamie added, "But you had to order food, or they would kick you out, and so we would order a burger and have like a bite each."

The Actor Group Found Their Big Breaks

Ultimately there came a time when everyone started getting work and started to move away from their bachelor pad. Robert Pattinson of The Batman fame had already made his mark playing Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter Franchise in 2005.

Still, he indeed became an overnight sensation when he captured the jackpot of Edward Cullen in Twilight, and since then, there has been no looking back.

Eddie Redmayne started with small films out of which the most notable were The Yellow Handkerchief and The Other Boleyn Girl. He rose to higher fame with Les Misérables in 2012 and later won an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role in the movie The Theory of Everything. He is now known quite famously as Newt Scamander of the Fantastic Beasts movies.

Charlie Cox is quite famously known for his role in Stardust in 2007 and Daredevil of the MCU television series from 2015 to 2018.

Andrew Garfield was a slow-starter and acted in movies like The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnasuss and Never Let Me Go before claiming monumental fame in The Amazing Spider-Man.

Jamie Dornan, who has been in TV series like Once Upon A Lifetime back in 2011 and later starred in the Fifty Shades series alongside Dakota Johnson, also appeared in the critically acclaimed television series Falling and a dark comedy movie, Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar.

The Former Roomies Reunited

This year's 94th Oscars saw Garfield and Dornan reuniting on the red carpet with their adorable photos making the Internet Swoon over the two Brits.

Jamie Dornan attended the Awards with his wife Amelia Warner, while Garfield proceeded to photobomb the couple and posed for photos with Dornan alone. Jamie also moved to kiss Andrew on the cheek, making it one of their most adorable moments.

When asked about Garfield at the Oscars Red Carpet Interview, Jamie lovingly said, "We just had this beautiful moment there on the carpet of going like 'Check us out, this is a cool thing.' But you know, we've known each other 17 years you know and there's times when we weren't working that much and that wasn't happening for us, so to be able to share these whole last few months with him has been a beautiful thing."

With the two of them effortlessly talking about each other at every chance they get, it is safe to say their friendship has retained even with their fame running high.

They have come a long way from Los Angeles circa 2008 of struggling actors with their fridge stocked with only "beers, couple of frozen pizzas, cold cut meats like turkey slices and salami" with dining alongside elite members of the entertainment industry while still being that grounded and reachable to each other.

In the words of Jamie Dornan, "…but it wasn't really happening for us and then luckily over time it all kinda worked out for us, but it was a fun group, and we are still great friends."

Fans consider it lucky to see their favorite actors continue to be best friends after all this time. Hopefully, they may be able to see the pair on screen together in the future.
